Dulwich Grove

The solution was to work across the space at an angle in order to create planting beds with a depth. This gave us the opportunity to be a little more expansive with the planting. Betula utilis ‘Jacquemontii’ provide screening at the back of the garden and tall fence panels painted black recede into the background offering a sense of space in a small garden and also serving to highlight the planting in front of it. Key plants here are nepeta racemosa ‘Walkers low’, salvia nemorosa  ‘caradonna’ and echinops ritro. Actaea racemosa, deschampsia caespitosa ‘goldtau’ and persicaria amplexicaulis ‘rosea’ steal the limelight later in the year.
